Over the past few months, we have seen new trains, trams and metros which is all part of Ryde's plan to improve our public transport. Next, Ryde has to complete its most challenging task yet. Snoway's bus system was created as the city expanded, which meant our network is full of unnecessary and short lines, making moving across the city by bus far more challenging than it has to be. Ryde's spokesperson has said that their redesign on the network will focus on making transfers to higher levels of transport easier, and making the bus network more understandable. The new system will have less lines overall, but lines will be longer. Furthermore, the unnecessary divide between sections will be ended so trips between sectors of the city are easier. Ryde is also introducing a new fleet of buses in a similar style to the vehicles we already see travelling the rails today, unifying our buses under one colour rather than the random colours the network saw before. Further updates will be published here.
The Snoway Mayoral Office is excited to announce that Ryde, an experienced public transport company, has begun its takeover of Snoway Transit Services and some Intercity Servies. Expect to see a complete redesign of Snoway's transit system as Ryde commits ₡1M to expanding and reworking our aging system. New trains, metros, trams, and buses will be rolled out across Snoway over the next few years, seeing a much needed update to our city's aging fleet. Ryde has pledged to invest into a complete redesign of Snoway's bus network, allowing for easier cross-city trips and fewer changes across the vast majority of journeys. Putting transit into Ryde's hands means our mayor can focus on the problems gripping Snoway citizens, and expand our glorious city.
Tours of the depot are available on select weekends, where visitors have the opportunity to explore how our trains are maintained and looked after while not in service.
